WHEN TO SEALCOAT YOUR ASPHALT
It is recommended that you sealcoat your driveway every 2-3 years, a general rule of thumb is that if you can see the color of the stones that make up the asphalt, it is time to sealcoat it. The best time of year to sealcoat your surface is April-October, with the optimal temperature being 50 degrees or above.
It’s also worth noting that you shouldn’t walk on a sealcoated surface for 24 hours after completion. We recommend you wait a minimum of 48-72 hours before driving on freshly applied sealcoat. Waiting even longer will ensure a proper cure.
